The Boy in the Field: A Novel

Three young siblings discover a body wounded and abandoned in The Boy in the Field, by best-selling author Margot Livesey. The victim survives, but the experience exerts a continuing influence on their lives, not only in their common cause to find the perpetrator but in their individual coming-of-age searches for truths about themselves and the world of adults. The story is gentle and kind, and the characters are interesting and ones you root for. The New York Times calls the novel “exquisite.” Here’s what Kirkus Reviews says:
