And Yet is the second collection of poems by best-selling author Kate Baer. The book jacket characterizes it as “traditional poetry” (I think that’s code for normal non-literati people can understand it), The narrative voice is a mother and wife of some sophistication and humanity. An article in The New York Times says Baer is “speaking truth from her minivan.” The poems are mostly short, accessible, and sometimes brilliant.
