Alone in the House of My Heart is a collection of poems by Kari Gunter-Seymour, poet laureate of Ohio, director of Women of Appalachia Project, and recipient of many awards. The poems are mostly set in nature, mostly in Appalachia, and reflect a wonderful sensibility and honesty. Well worth reading. Here’s what Kirkus Reviews says:
