Oh William! is another novel by Elizabeth Strout featuring Lucy Barton. Lucy is a strange, damaged, and sensitive character whose thoughts and actions reveal aspects of Lucy and those around her that readers will see when characters don’t. Think layers and nuance. Not only is it a good book, but writers will want to read it with eye for seeing how she pulls off the layers and nuance so effortlessly. As always, Strout’s book received rave reviews.
