My Murder is a novel by Katie Williams set in a world in which people can be cloned. The protagonist, Lou, is a mom with a toddler who, we are told at the beginning, was murdered by a serial killer and, like a handful of his other victims, has been restored to her former life as a clone of herself. She’s obsessed with trying to remember her murder. I shouldn’t say more about the plot because the way things unfold, and even identifying the questions to ask, is central to the story’s effect.
