What Happened to the Bennetts is a thriller about suburban dad Jason Bennett and his family who are ambushed by carjackers on the way home from a lacrosse match. Jason’s daughter and one of the carjackers are killed in gunfire, but the carjacker escapes. Turns out the carjackers are mixed up with a drug cartel and the FBI rushes the Bennett family into witness protection. The rest of the novel is figuring out why this happened, who the bad guys are, and what Jason Bennett can do about it. As the novel progresses, some surprises thicken the plot.
