Unnatural Death is the latest Kay Scarpetta novel by Patricia Cornwell. The plot involves a terrorist group, Big Foot, artificial intelligence, enemies from the past, high-tech weapons, and a snowstorm. The usual characters – Lucy (Kay’s secret agent niece), Benton (her secret service husband), Marino (her former cop sidekick) are protecting each other and keeping secrets like they always do. If you liked the previous Scarpetta novels, and I do, you’ll enjoy this one, but Kirkus Reviews calls it formulaic:
